Love Gaga, but they kinda right about this :max: Law is law and it’s negligent to just say “for US audiences” on a globally available post

That's basically how disclaimers work.

She’s abiding the law in the US, she doesn’t own Meta or Instagram and isn’t at fault for the post being viewable in Europe. Hopefully they can find a solution for censoring medication ads there.

insane to me how promoting medication is a normal thing in the US to begin with, like that's wild

What’s crazier to me is celebrities actively endorsing and promoting said medications. Jarring af

She absolutely is at fault for posting it, her wording of the post alone recognises the fact that it is controlled content.

So in Canada meta blocks certain news sources, it says something like "due to legislation, users in Canada cannot view this content" and idk why they can't just implement something like that for Europe tbh

Karl

I find it so funny when I go on holiday to Florida, watching the TV and seeing all the ads for prescriptions reeling off all the deadly side effects while some happy family are playing catch outside in the sunshine :ladyhaha:

I wonder if Gaga saw this backlash coming from the beginning. Such a stupid partnership
