I actually really enjoyed all the three singles so far, like not LOVING them maybe, but I'll definitely check the album out. I'm sure there will be some hidden gems.

But what is wrong with making dance pop music? I don’t understand.

it’s not just changing the sound but I noticed Americans just can’t stand anyone releasing dance music all the time but there’s literally nothing wrong with that.

Gaga is probably the only one who drastically changes with each album. Everyone else sticks to “their” sound or try to be edgy and it comes off cringy.

i think dua is catching backlash for it because this album has been described as an evolution/experimental but that seems to not be the case at all

mother, what must i do?

@bionic she tries to be the UK Queen Rita Ora so bad

No doubt Dua Lipa was inspired by Rita's history as a gold-medallist Olympic synchronised swimmer. Facts are facts are you can't deny her impact!

Honestly I hope we get an extented version of the album, because so far, the extended versions >>>>>>>> the single versions. They're so much more enjoyable

That has been explained to this user multiple times and they seem to want to believe Dua is either being persecuted + wrongfully singled out because the songs aren’t really resonating lmao

4th Time Around

Her music videos this era have all been painfully dull, they have very little creativity or even visual appeal

Hey, I'm king of the world, you ought to hear my song, you come on measure me, I'm twenty inches long

I expected some brighter colors, some sort of kaleidoscope visuals, something that messes/plays with the eye, since this was described as "psychedelic". This is nothing of the sort. It seems very watered down compared to FN. There's no oomph. Nothing radical about it

More generic disco music. She really needs to change course because these songs are flopping.

Illusion is not disco. Lmao.

It’s not disco but it’s still pretty bland and a little on the boring side

Beatsss

Third song in a row that just doesn't fully slap unfortunately... It's sad bcuz the verses and the pre-chorus really build up nicely and then the chorus, both in production and her vocal delivery just don't hit that high you're expecting...

I liked it more than Training Season but overall preferred Houdini more. The verses reminded me more than a bit of Love Again sonically, so it feels like we're in for another retread this era.  Ironically, this is more along the lines of what I expected the Training Season video to be. It's clear Dua knows her fanbase and wanted to pay some fanservice with hot guys in tightie whities. It's her best video so far but just a standard pop video, albeit one with more scope than we've seen lately.

TBH I’ve seen insane amounts of negativity towards other artists from this fanbase in general recently :madge:

We are truly living in our LG7 Blueball era.
