Her reputation has been severely damaged, and this is one of the most important cases in the history of the country. If Trump isn't convicted when the trial for this case occurs, it will likely be her fault.

The Judge has ruled either her or the Lead prosecutor has to recuse themselves from the case before it can proceed so she's not exactly won. 

But the idea that having an affair - with no evidence of illegality - is "severly damaging" in USA politics is laughable. 
It's practically a requirement of office.

For a DA it is actually is severely damaging. They're generally held to higher standards than typical politicians, like people who serve in Congress.

I see what you're saying. Maybe my opinion is even though it may be for the best, she shouldn't have to since she didn't do anything wrong. She should be able to see it through to the end since she was the one brave enough to make it happen, but the fact that this is even an issue isn't on her.

It was "severly damaging" because she was falsely accused of having broken laws regarding public money based on the timing of their relationship & his appointment. 
The Judge found that no such breach occured. 
With the exception of 3 States & DC, DAs are elected officials (which is insane to me) not career lawyers. They are held to the exact same standards as a politician - the ballot box.
