Beyonce accused of ripping off package design for her hair care brand

Last month, Beyonce announced her new hair care venture Cecred and someone pointed out how much the packaging of the brand reminds them of another brand, New Zealand's TWYG.

Seems like it was inspired by it at least. Then again the beauty & skincare industries are so saturated that it's bound to happen at some point that packages will look similar to others

Timeline doesn't add up between when we've seen her packaging and when the NZ brand came out unless she somehow saw it like a year before it actually came out and immediately decided to rip it. 

But let them get some attention I guess.

What I'm seeing is that we need some damn normal bottles!! I like Cecred's better, the emboss is so much more classier and the caps aren't weird and oversized.

I mean I see the similarities. 
But i'd also say that none of the ideas presented strike me as original or innovative. 

Geometric shapes - literally a million and one people have incorporated various styles of this. 
Stripped back product bottles - the standard for the current industry. 
Like my first thought looking at this was "Oh cool Bauhaus inspired-style". And obviously Bauhaus is near enough a 100 years old.

Similar but in the last few years there's just been an explosion of unique/rounded/similar to this bottle designs. From lip gloss, skin care, hair care, nail polish.

Apparently they’re also easier to hold and unscrew which is nice
