At first, I was like "oh no a trap beat", but the production techniques in the songs really grew on me. My ear is catching something that makes my brain tingle with each listen. It’s a real cohesive move forward for her. has much of the optimism found in Sweetener and the sassiness of Thank U, Next + Positions but the production really sounds like the cutting edge of the industry to me as in it sounds like it couldn’t really have come out no other time before than right now and it’s great to be able to have that. the synths and instrumental are so crisp and fresh you can hear them almost light up as they go. and her vocals and diction and delivery are very mature.
