The administration of United States President Joe Biden has once again bypassed Congress to greenlight an emergency weapons sale to Israel, which has only intensified and broadened its attacks on the Gaza Strip despite growing international outrage.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken told Congress that he had made a second emergency determination in less than a month, covering a $147.5m sale of equipment to Israel, the State Department said on Friday.

0 American taxpayer dollars went to Israel since the start of the war. Probably surprising to you, because we've often heard the lie that American taxpayers are funding this war, and it's actually backfiring on the left/democratic party. There were weapon sales, which are between Israel and U.S manufactures, and they're buying from a bunch of countries not just the U.S. (Germany, Netherlands etc)

By exaggerating the role of the U.S in this war, progressives/democrats shot themselves in the foot. And it'll potentially help Trump win who is much more pro-Israel. I hope y'all enjoy him.

I think this is a great decision.

While Biden is not able to control Israel and Hamas and magically implement a ceasefire that both sides agree to, he is able to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and strong-arm the Israeli government when necessary. I doubt Israel gave its approval for this port. But knowing that they need the diplomatic support of the U.S government, they'll tolerate this development.

Personally, I hope this port will continue to operate even after the war, to make sure that the U.S uses its alliance with Israel to bypass whatever blockade there is and deliver aid to the Palestinians when necessary. But make no mistake, if Trump is elected, he'll shut it down.

Um so anyways, the yearly $3.8 billion of America’s defence tax dollars that funded the IDF’s bullshit for years must be decimated. The fact thats not even a serious convo after the genocide is so wild.

Congress attempted to give an extra 14.5 billion after the war started but thankfully Senate Dems stopped it. Maybe that’s why the sent Gantz here to shmooz for more influence but the House leader brushed him off lmao

https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/4310130-senate-blocks-house-bill-israel-irs/amp/

Even some CNN hosts are finally calling out the weirdness of directing both bombs and aid to Gaza at the same time lmao

He needs to start doing things like this now so they can help rebuild Gaza… maybe even help pay for reconstruction costs/force Israel to do so. The US cant look like a hero, but going from villain to neutral would be fine

He needs to do way more bc the more excuses he makes, the more he’ll depress the turn out, serve 2016 and lead to another Trump term - and nobody wants that.

But I thought 0 American Tax Dollars went to Israel since the start of the war??? Not that anyone cares about said timeline in the face of seemingly unchanged yearly funding - but it’s just something I’ve read too many times recently as somehow America has 0 influence on what’s going on here :ororomunroe:

I mean will Israel Marine let Aid in through this port?

This is just a smoke screen cause the increasing criticism.

It would be more helpful if they'd stop using Veto power in UN Security Council and use their influence to force Israel to let more trucks IN with AID.

STOP THE BULLSHIT AND STAR ACTING WE ARE NO FOOLS! :bye:

4th Time Around

How stupid does this administration think people are? This is going to have no meaningful impact on the terrible situation, genocide joe and his friends are a bit late, how about not waiting so long next time? Better yet, how about not giving Israel diplomatic and material backing to kill thousands of innocent people?

The only reason they are pulling stunts like this now is to get some pr points becase Biden's Gaza policy has landed him in hot water with potential voters

Here is your throat back, thanks for the loan

Not Dennis trying to make it seem like the US has nothing to do with this lmao. As if this administration hasn’t been vetoing UN resolutions in defense of Israel’s genocidal war

The fact that the death and destruction has lasted this long is 100% ON THE UNITED STATES. The United Nations would have enforced a ceasefire by now if it weren’t for Joe Biden’s ambassador’s vetoes.

and how do you think they’re going to pay for the construction of this port?

Biden has been EMBARRASSING on this.
