But to be fair Reagan's numbers were like this before his election and we know how that went down. But still... he/him/his

The political problem for Biden is the geographic impacts of these groups means either way he loses some marginal states in a tight November race. I doubt there'll be an increase because Palestine isn't really the #1 issue for voters, except Arab Americans in Michigan. But for the most part, people seem to complain about his age and the immigration crisis. And unfortunately, I'm not sure he'll overcome those problems. There'll be a ceasefire by the time the election happens. So I'm less worried about that. But the support he's bleeding due to his age and the immigration crisis, I'm not sure he'll get back. Well no, the Uncommited Movement got votes from Dems across all stripes, not just Arab Americans. It’s not the number one issue to all but it is to enough that he’s underwater (extremely) with all the people need needed to win in 2020 with. It’ll take time for the numbers to go back up as people heal (once a cease fire is re-set) but politically speaking, they just need to up enough for swing states like Michigan to stop being a worry spot for Dems. This issue will make people stay home more than age or immigration because people are way more passionate about Palestine than they are that (notice how there’s 0 constant protests about them, just performative rage tweets/rants)

Is there an anti-Palestine geographical area to lose in the same way as there is a pro-Palestine area to lose (aka Michigan)? I’m pretty sure all the pro Israeli people lean Trump bc they’re moderate republicans anyway… (and their support is a mirage) So if you split it along religious categories, as especially in America it's a good way of guaging support for either nation. The Muslim population of Michigan is around 240,000. Biden won the state by about 150,000 votes so the argument that being Pro-Palestine would benefit him in Michigan does hold some water when considering the est pop of Jewish folks in the state is a significantly smaller 78,000. But then look at Georgia. Biden carried it by the skin of his teeth with around 11,000 votes. The Jewish population in Georgia is 141,000. The Muslim population is 123,000 est. So here taking a firm stand would cancel out the votes gained vs votes lost. And then for balance: Pennsylvania which was another narrow swing state win with a margin of less than 100,000 votes. Muslim population est is 149,000, Jewish population is 434,000 est. So if you follow a very basic scenario of both these groups voting as a near unanimous or unanimous bloc, in all 3 swing states they have the ability to swing the state (in theory). Obviously the homogenous nature of any group isn't guaranteed. The latest figures I could find on Pew are from 2017 which had the Muslim party lean as 41% GOP to 50% Dem with 9% indy. Meanwhile a poll by the Jewish Electorate Institute last November found that Jews backed Biden by 68% to Trump on 22%. In this poll Biden had a supermajority (60%) in every age category, with both men & women and in every religious denomination except Orthodox Jews. So I can see the logic of the current Biden WH position - Say consilatory things to the Palestinians, without directly going against Israel. In the hope that those committed to the party (50% Muslim & 68% Jewish) come out and vote for the "least bad" but also a middle ground stance that neither changes the US position or endorses the full barbarism of Bibi is going to be useful in keeping those moderate Haley GOP voters who won't turn up out of protest at Trump at home. Taking a big Pro-Israel stance (like Trump will) would likely be very costly in Michigan & Georgia but prove beneficial in surpressing moderate GOP voters in other swing states. But taking a Pro-Palestine stance would likely be very costly in the Georgia & Pennyslvania examples but also the "radicalism" spin would encourage moderate GOP voters to vote in other swing states rather than stay home in protest. But tbh this election in November is going to be tighter than any previous US election based on the current climate, literally any "radical" shift of *any* policy by Biden is going to pose major dangers of losing to Trump. I'm not American so I can't vote. But I'd vote the least evil option with full knowledge him & Trump won't live to 2028 lol Least then you get a new chapter of the next generation of 80 year olds. Not all moderates wanna support Trump. Biden already sent 0 tax payer dollars since the start of this war to Israel. So not sure what else people want him to do? Calling for a ceasefire is useless if you alienate Israel and lose the leverage you can use to have them agree to one.
