Scam Exploitive Colleges To Foreigners More Numerous Than Mcdonalds - Canada

The Government of Canada and Minister of Immigration Miller are hitting the breaks on international student visas (to which over 1 Million were issued last year and saw 2.5% of the Countries population be international students on a visa)

 

The move comes not only amid backlash that immigration levels are way too high and population growth too explosive for housing construction but also amid growing concerns Canadas education system is coming under reputational damage

 

increasingly vast numbers of colleges dubbed as "diploma mills" which barely teach any course and exist in the most questionable of locations charge exuberant prices to foreign students who believe they will get superior education on Canada only to get useless education and end up as uber drivers.

 

a major Toronto suburb of Brampton with over 650,000 (my city btw) has over 50% of the population born outside of Canada and it has more colleges in the city than it does McDonalds the most popular burger chain. 

 

With the exeption of a couple major reputable colleges, most exist as tiny rented rooms on places as questionable as an upper floor of lpw traffic parlors.

Yeah this is hitting my city (Kitchener) haaaard. Conestoga College is the worst in the country and it has drastically impacted this community. They built no new housing and there is nowhere for these students to live. There are not enough jobs. It's bad, and now people are just becoming openly racist against Indians. Like, everyone is losing except the college just raking in the money. It has to change.

To think Canada was unique in almost unanumously all across political spectrum ppl being open to immigration now ur suddenly seeing more opposition to it

 

There has been a lot of mismanagement of foreigners into the policy. The government did not consider how to care for everyone and even how to ensure foreigners werent being ripped off either
