It's immaculate and both the culmination of her prior works and the backbone of her later works. It's the birth of the general tone and aesthetic she's maintained throughout the rest of her career. My favorite album is Joanne though. Not only do I love the analog production and the songs themselves, the whole story behind it is so personal to her. When she spoke about how transformative pain is and how we become different people, it spoke to something inside of me. She can dance on alien planets, get puked on, give birth to a gun, or bleed to death on stage and my heart will still have a pink hat on it.
