Millenials Now Outnumber Boomers In Canada Amid High Immigration

The baby boomers have been the largest age group in Canada since 1958 (even as births of that generation continued into the 1960s), a trend shared in nearly every developed Nation. By the 1960s/1970s Baby Boomers made up over 40% of the population

 

However this year for the first time in over 60 years, Baby Boomers have lost the crown of largest age group to milenials. In addition the average age in Canada dropped slightly to 41.6 years.

 

High immigration is increasing the age ratio of Gen-Z and Millenials while Gen-X and Boomers fall. Natural death will further reduce Boomer ratios in the not too distant future

Canada has more favourable demographics than most developed Countries...

 

Now can we not waste it and put our economy to work?

Within the next few years natural causes will start to shrink the baby boomers at a noticeably fast clip. When discussing demographic trends, one cant politely gloss over that reality
