McDonald's is directly funding Israel's war against Palestinians.

No, they’re not lmao. This started because McDonalds in Israel started giving free meals to the IDF.

Again, is she guilty of eating at McDonald's? No, because if the United States government does not impose sanctions on the company or does nothing about it, go and complain to the government. With your arguments, the ones that really should be Closed to not support a genocide are the establishments. I'm not going to eat at McDonald's to demonstrate a political position or thought, I'm going to eat a damn hamburger because I don't have time, I'm on the run and I don't have anything nearby. Learn to separate the artist from the person. An artist does not have to demonstrate political positions and/or give an opinion.

Again, she clearly aware of the issues and pick a side, and she clearly doesn't care. Some fans who are also aware of the social issues just feel dissapointed is all, and they are allowed to express that. The matter Lana will hear it or not is her prerogative.

Thing is, McDonald's Israel is an independent entity and apart for the name has zero relations to any other Mcdonald's in the word, so boycotting Mcdonald's in your country makes no difference at all, the only one who actually benefits from it is McDonald's Israel, they got a good press in their country and among the pro Israelis, while the local McDonald's all over the ME and outside, are losing money, and it's not even their fault.

It's a case of misinformation and boycotting gone wrong.

I don't disagree with you. Social media activism is usually pretty poor and riddled with misinformation.

But at the same time it is undeniably a successful vehicle of very impactful social media awareness about Palestine. It's also initiating a new conversation about branding, stateless corporations, and politics within companies. Thirdly, from what I'm seeing, it's become a mainstream entry-point into researching the boycotting of specifically Israeli/settlement products and companies.

So you're right. And this is part of the building of a network of people who do want to take action and are figuring out the best way to do it.

Because according to the far left, if you don’t openly call for the destruction of Israel, it means you support the killing of Palestinians.

These are the same single-issue voters that are trying to throw the election. Someone literally said once that they are fine with losing their rights in a Trump victory as long as they aren't supporting Biden. Disgusting.

Imagine if all the keyboard warriors who get crazy over someone posting a McDonald’s drink actually went out and helped communities.

Or the time gained if they just got off the internet in general :ladyhaha:

I mean people were praising gaga for not having Starbucks at all recently. I guess it depends on how politically aware you are. I doubt Lana is making a political statement, even if she is politically aware doesn't mean she can keep up with every company. Even for me recently I had a coworker make a comment when I went on Disney trip recently. Can't keep up with every company.

Times like this I’m glad I’m not a celebrity.

I only heard about that boycott a few days ago, and I wouldn't have if I didn't spend so much time on Twitter recently. And I'm sure I only saw posts related to that because I liked some pro-Palestine tweets. I'd much prefer being less on that app and know less about these things.
