faysalaaa 4,844
Boycotting McDonalds is fine, but attacking people for not is insane. Specially when these people willingly participate in slave and child labor everyday, and buy products that support Israel that are not McDonalds. I am largely on the same page with you on this post, but I don't see any attacks in the comments shown though. This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss. Didymus 34,380
I get it. It seems dramatic and silly. But what if McDonald's gave free meals to Russian soldiers amidst the Ukraine invasion? Nazis during WW II? The McDonald's boycott is happening mostly in the Middle East and it is having large-scale impact, as is the Starbucks boycott. It has become a powerful example of how boycotting actually works to send political messages to companies. This is important in the case of Israel, as its government's and army's widely documented war crimes and violations of international law are rarely taken seriously let alone prosecuted. Companies', celebrities',... displays of support for Israel contribute to this negligence, which is why garnering that support is a crucial part of Israel's propaganda strategy. These fans are not going into "frenzy". They are just showing solidarity. We are witnessing a genocide. People are doing what they can to spread awareness. Let's not mock that when there is already so little we can do.

Like boycotting McDonald's when the Israeli government is being funded by the USA isn't going to do anything drastic, but giving them money after learning about their contributions is like buying a tie from Hugo Boss during the Holocaust. Pretty yucky. This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

She signed formal petition that some celebs did to US Government to defend Israelis Again, is she guilty of eating at McDonald's? No, because if the United States government does not impose sanctions on the company or does nothing about it, go and complain to the government. With your arguments, the ones that really should be Closed to not support a genocide are the establishments. I'm not going to eat at McDonald's to demonstrate a political position or thought, I'm going to eat a damn hamburger because I don't have time, I'm on the run and I don't have anything nearby. Learn to separate the artist from the person. An artist does not have to demonstrate political positions and/or give an opinion.

Thing is, McDonald's Israel is an independent entity and apart for the name has zero relations to any other Mcdonald's in the word, so boycotting Mcdonald's in your country makes no difference at all, the only one who actually benefits from it is McDonald's Israel, they got a good press in their country and among the pro Israelis, while the local McDonald's all over the ME and outside, are losing money, and it's not even their fault. It's a case of misinformation and boycotting gone wrong. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
