Whether we like it or not, AI will be the next catalyst of technological advancement. Really curious on how it will change human civilization, just like how internet and computer/mobile phones drastically changed ours.

Agreed. Im normally always pro embrancing advancements, new tech, automation etc to improve our standard of living

 

However in this case i feel like the negative human impacts outway any potential economic gains from this...

 

I was also thinking about court, legal cases and propaganda. Reality will be hard to tell apart from reality... conspiracy theories will get worse and  propaganda will surge.

 

Political rifts will also get wider as people predomiantly believe whatever they feel like believing, there will be a buffet of "evidence" out there to support your ideas which social media algorithims will further reinforce by feeding u content that is exactly what u want to believe

 

Any small shred of civil discussion or trust left in the system will evaporate. Ppl will get more angry at everyone and everything and outright paranoia will flourish

 

Its not gonna be fun (it already isnt)

Exactly what I've been thinking about the situation. If we could guarantee it would only be used for good, to help people, better our lives, advance technology, have medical applications etc, I would be 100% all here for it! But unfortunately we know that isn't how things work on this planet. 

Look at how many people are so easily swayed by conspiracy theories already, just from the misinformation available on the internet. It's like you said, people believe what they want to, and then find 'evidence' to back it up, instead of learning what's real and isn't. I fear that things are gonna get really weird and divisive really fast
