That's the problem tho. The Eras Tour trailer is on the next channel. The next channel she's at the football game. And she's playing at Starbucks, and everywhere at Target. Then you get in your car to drive home and she's on the radio.

In all sincerity: I, ofc, find Gaga’s work to be more meaningful/impactful than Taylor’s and do not personally perceive these moments as being -the same-, I just think it’s interesting to consider what makes them different.

Eh I feel like generally optics matter. It’s VMAs not Grammys, for one. Another is she was still fairly new to the scene. I agree it’s technically similar but I think it’s telling that these situations evoked VERY different feelings in people and I think those reasons are why

Well that’s why people are tired of her lol they can’t just flip to somewhere else bc she’s everywhere. It’s not all her fault but she is! Every platform is trying to use her stardom and fans rn and that makes her insanely saturated. In a world of individualized feeds, Taylor swift has become something of a pop up ad to some people who’d otherwise not really care at all
