monstertoronto 9,454 Posted February 12, 2024 Share Posted February 12, 2024 I recently watched the original again and it’s cute but ju honestly felt there were no stakes. All the characters were so excited to drive into the tornadoes with no fear and for the most part nobody died. Lots of destruction and I know one older lady died but none of the many heroes, even when Helen Hunt weirdly kept walking directly towards oncoming tornadoes. I felt no tension for them because they were always okay and then hooting and hollering. It looks like there may be more of body count in this one so more stakes.
