Not sayin DWAS is doing underwhelming (it's trully not, it will be a slow burner like almost every Bruno Mars smash !) But doing 5M debut with HUGE playlisting and for a big mainstream collab doesn't sound good for a solo dance lead single on LG7.

She needs to work a bit more on LG7 anticipation before dropping. Make DWAS a smash and wait for Joker huge exposure before returning. Only my opinion...

DWAS is one of the best songs in a while. 🩵❤️ The next few weeks will be interesting as we watch it climb.

It’s Bruno mars’ biggest Spotify debut and Gaga’s biggest since rain on me, I would say it’s doing pretty good. If it becomes a Bruno mars hit we are talking 1B+ streams and a possible top 3 peak, but we shall see. His hits are huge on radio/streaming.

Seems like she is building attention with this. Get a song on the charts to be on people’s mind’s and in the news once actual promotion for the new project starts. Kind of an updated “first single builds momentum for the second single to smash” type strategy i.e. Just Dance->Poker Face. Since they both have new albums coming after an extended hiatus it sort is a win win for both of them and sets up their respective leads to do better
