I can imagine her tension if a large portion of Gen Z is very "I will never vote for genocide Joe" Republican or Democrat it is an illusion to think that one of them would be anti Israel. Biden should do more to support the two state solution and by that it means he should acknowledge the genocide it is happening , and call it like so

Biden should do more to support the two state solution and by that it means he should acknowledge the genocide it is happening , and call it like so Push for a two-state solution yes, call it genocide no. That is a legal determination that should be left up to the ICJ to make. They didn't even order Israel to suspend its military operations in their latest ruling (contrary to what people expected). I'm skeptical that they'll find them guilty of genocide. The word genocide has become diluted as a result of people using it whenever they wanna describe war crimes, mass casualties etc, when it's meant to be a specific legal term, with specific determination made by the competent authority empowered by the Geneva convention to make such determination and that is the ICJ. I think it's important to differentiate between the use of word "genocide" in popular culture, and the official legal determination which only the ICJ should be able to make (at least starting from 1948). Now that the ICJ is working on investigating and making a determination on whether there is a genocide or not, the President of the United States has no business making such official designation before them. Future Lovers 7,565
But why do we want her to? I'm so beyond over this growing trend of the public looking to celebrities to be constantly involved and speaking on politics. I'm even more over this growing idea that Taylor Swift or any other celebrity for that matter somehow can change the outcome of an election or change the president's decision making in regards to what's happening in the Middle East. Not only is absolutely asinine to expect that of any celebrity, it's also just really not fair to ask a celebrity to do that? That isn't their job. That isn't what they're here to do. Sure if you would like them to be more of an advocate for certain causes, whatever. But asking them to really jump into the ring and get this heavily involved in the political sphere is really kind of crazy. They're celebrities. They're entertainers. This is not and never has been their responsibility and it feels so strange to see so many people trying to make it these people's responsibility. I think rather than being obsessed with whether this is a genocide or not, the U.S government should focus on finding a solution to immediately improve the lives of the Palestinians and create a path to statehood. Justice can take time, but Justice must be done right in the interest of both parties.
