It's really strange to me how absolutely obsessed gen z are with millenials. Like every 10th video on TikTok has some kind of millenial joke. It's weird asf. And literally we aren't event that different. I always thought we would get along well with the new generation because they're so much more informed and interesting and intelligent, but it's like they're grasping at straws for reasons to hate us and actively trying to wage a generational war and I don't get it... Also they're literally just a few years away from our age? Loved her in the Jingle Bell Rock outfit and her outfit at the Halloween party scene. was the movie amazing? Yes and no. I think the issue I had with it was that it works as a musical to see on the stage - as you know it’s a musical adaptation. Enjoyable like Legally Blonde the Musical. But I just don’t think it translated very well to film. Went it slayed, it slayed. When it was funny, it was hysterical. My partner and I were laughing our asses off at some parts. Especially Regina at the end, with the plastic chip tiara, still dead by that lmfao. but Renee Rapp is a breakout star. And I’ve seen countless interviews of her not wanting to hear anyone discuss her weight as she struggles with it. I guess at one of her first shows playing Regina on Broadway for Mean Girls, during intermission someone told her that a mother and daughter in audience were making fun of her for being heavier. And she broke down crying but had to roll her shoulders back and carry on with the show. so do I think her comment was appropriate? No. However, did I see it as anything more than, “I’m just not really a fan of kids” kind of reference? No. It was entertaining to watch. And I think I understood what she meant. she, just like anyone in public eye can be, ‘canceled’ nowadays, but I doubt this is big enough for this to be it.
