I think it's top 5 for me, it's a serve all around, the choreography, the music video, the song structure, the chorus, the bridge, the melody, the instrumental, the cultural reset. It is also Gaga's most intelligent song and music video. There are so many hidden references. She even used biblical verses to describe the scenes, for example here, 697, which actually is Psalm 69:7: "Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face". (gives Taylor Swift vibes ) Earlier in that same verse: "Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck, I sink in the miry depths" which actually represents the scene where she was being engulfed by the waters after blessing Judas to give Jesus the kiss of death. Yes, Alejandro is a rip off of Ace of Base, but they were in the 90’s and it’s a different artist. Alejandro's been done at the blood fountain but every other time it's been a boring performance. Well, as boring as a Gaga performance can be But Judas ALWAYS shakes the place down. Whether it's a short prelude to Aura or if it ends with her shredding over the DJWS remix with fire and sh*t shooting out of the stage If we're just talking about the studio tracks, they're pretty even sonically imo. But Judas' meaning hits harder than Alejandro. It's better lyrically too.
