New vaccines for new diseases are ALWAYS experimental in the beginning (one of my family members was paralyzed by an early version of the swine flu vaccine that caused a condition called Guillain-Barre Syndrome along with hundreds of other children who experienced GBS. Thankfully, these vaccines improved and the net benefit outweighs the risk. But the lack of transparency around the very expiremental nature of the vaccine and the huge ad push (government + for profit big pharmaceutical ads) to get children vaccinated while myocarditis risk was downplayed is now having negative ramifications for all vaccines and causing a distrust of safe and well-tested vaccines. 

The flaw in the country that keeps appearing is that people only think of such small perspectives. Herd immunity includes kids. Children are probably the easiest way to spread a virus because of the density of their populations at school, contact surfaces, and lack of general hygiene. Vaccinating the kids isn't about keeping them alive. It's about making sure they reduce spread to each other who would go home each day to their siblings and parents. In an elementary school you're looking at 30+ exposures at once if one child gets sick.  In middle school it becomes 90+. The parent then takes it to work and they expose their coworkers. Their coworkers take it home to their kids who are zoned for a different school, and the cycle repeats. On the way we have adults spreading it between each other in social situations. And all of the sudden we see unhealthy children, adults, and elderly dying. And the ones that don't die have a damaged immune system. I personally used to get sick once a year and then I got Covid. My symptoms included a fever and a headache and my case was nowhere near as bad as the ones you'd read in the news. But I went from getting sick MAYBE once a year pre-Covid to getting sick three times in the span of the past 90 days. I understand that you might be saying this might be the parents' perspectives and in that case I'm not arguing with you. I'm arguing with their perspective. The "me, my" mentality will always be the greatest limitation of this country. The social systems in other parts of the world don't make the social systems work. It's the collective mentality for the greater good rather than the individualist approach this country always takes in every aspect of governing and social life. 

 

Also, I'm not sure if you know but GBS and the swine flu vaccine are associated, not that the vaccine causes GBS. Which means that when one trends in a certain way, the other trends in accordance with it. But that doesn't mean it's causing it because of several other factors. Time could be a factor in such cases. Which makes sense because swine flu vaccinations go up during outbreaks, but so do infections. They actually tested patients with GBS that were vaccinated, and they found that those patients were diagnosed with a previous case of swine flu. Which suggests that the Swine flu itself was causing GBS, not the vaccine. They also found that 1 in a million cases of GBS were reported by vaccinated individuals, while 17 in a million cases of GBS were reported by individuals who also had Swine Flu. Which means that the vaccine was actually POSSIBLY causing a decline in GBS cases not the other way around.

This is regarding children’s vaccination, not adults. If children besides those with immune issues were not vaccinated at all (MANY weren’t) then we would not still be in lockdown, that’s stupid to even imagine. I’m literally saying people SHOULD GET VACCINATED if you could read you would know that.
