Teletubby 134,360
Beyoncé was accused of stealing some of the most eye-catching designs from her blockbuster Renaissance Tour. The Japanese artists Hajime Sorayama claimed on Instagram that Beyoncé had swiped some of his designs for a metallic body suit and helmet that she wore during recent tour stops. source Hajime Sorayama: Beyonce: Hajime Sorayama is an acclaimed illustrator known for his detailed, hyperfeminine, erotic robots. In the past, he has worked with The Weeknd, where he erected a giant statue of one of his robots for his current ‘After Hours Til Dawn‘ tour. ⸜(• ◡•)⸝♡🐀💨🚽 2 8
HotLikeMexico 4,444
I’m surprised this wasn’t mentioned sooner. I just assumed she worked with him. 7 1
TwistedTeeth 1,621
This is kind of silly. It's clearly a nod to his work, she doesn't have to ask permission to make a reference to his art. Also, too little too late. The tour is already wrapped up and the film is done. What's the point of bringing this up now? It's giving I Need Attention. CubbyGaga 2,280
Literally nothing about his work is original. This is all ripped from the film Metropolis. At this point no one can claim originality for the female robot figure. 24 1 1

I was gonna say: unless Fritz Lang rose from the dead to call out Beyoncé, nobody can really claim this image 4
Guest
Why go after Beyoncé ? She has a team of creatives behind her who collaborate with her so I’m sure she wouldn’t have known if the designs were or were not original ? Some people just find the smallest thing to hate on her it’s actually sad
River 104,869
oh god, it's not about being original or about the Metropolis movie, it's about the exact design of his work that she used without his permission even the nipples are identical I could play the moderator, I can ban you, die sis. 1
Blahwhatever22 8,091
Why is he acting brand new?? This look has been replicated many times before by other artists. Not only that but this is not even the first time Beyonce has done this aesthetic 6 1 2

Mugler used this silhouette in a 1995 fashion show and even designed one of the robotic looks for the Renaissance tour 1

Future Lovers 6,439
So did they cut checks to Fritz Lang’s estate for making art based on his film or are they expecting Beyonce to walk a walk that they themselves didn’t? 1
RahrahWitch 6,950
I do think whoever designed this for Beyoncé saw their work, the ear antenna and boobs give it away being an almost exact match but at the same time his work isn't exactly original either.
