FfFfFfFF 58,083
Interestingly they are mostly Central European places in mountanous countries (which is not really surprising - Poland leads the list with 3 spots, Romanaia follow with 2 spots and the rest of the countries are represented with 1 location each). The places are: 10. Gamisc Pterkierchne, Germany 9. Sinaia, Romania 8. Chamonix Mont Blanc, France 7. Innsbruck, Austria 6. Funchal, Portugal 5. Szklarska Poręba, Poland 4. Brașov, Romania 3. Bled, Slovenia 2. Karpacz, Poland 1. Zakopane, Poland

But I do get why they are famous (the association with Dracula), still personally I find that there are more beautiful nature sites eleswhere which are visited by less tourists. calmar 22,768
Yeah some of these are tourist hotspots that are probably better avoided (looking at you Zakopane...) Like Bled is beautiful af but Slovenia as a whole is just gorgeous. The Logar Valley in particular had like no people in it and was breathtaking. Oriane 22,749
I went to 2 of them and I was surprised that they were in the list. I went skiing to Chamonix when I was a kid. As for Garmisch-Partenkirchen, I guess it's included because of Partnachklamm gorge. It's really beautiful but most of it was closed when I went there, because of the rain. I wish they had reduced the price because 7.50€ for a 10-minute walk was not worth it The only GGD member who can read / Credits to Celloo Deng for the profile pic! I heard Bled Castle is a tourist trap and there is not much to see inside. But ex-Yugoslavia/ South-Eastern Europe in general are full of beautiful sceneries, I am actually surprised Croatia's Plitvice Lakes did not make the lists. I mean there isn't, really, it's just a normal church. You can ring the bell though which is cool. (Not sure if this is a Slovene or regional belief, but you are allowed to ring the bell in each church only once in your life.)
MelbHawker 6,583
No Iceland, Norway, Switzerland? If we’re talking nature, these countries reign supreme.

I was under the impression that Bled Castle is located on the island inside the lake, but I see it's at the shore. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bled_Castle But the church of the castle seems pretty. However, I believe Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church in Ljubljana is the most beautiful in all of Slovenia, I would love to visit it on a trip to the western Balkans.
