This is a government that not only oppresses its own people but wants to invade other countries and impose its fascist ideology on others too.

The more Russia will be isolated from the West, the more it will push for policies in these direction. They have nothing to lose so it absolutely of no importance to the Kremlin what Western insitutions or NGOs believe. What retaliation are they going to face, be put under sanctions? International isolation is a greenlight to be non-cooperative and for Putin to run Russia the way he himself wants to run Russia- not the way Westerners want. Looking at similar examples over the years (ie Iran), Russia will become increasingly self-oriented and hardened in its ideals.

Or maybe you can stop blaming everything bad Putin does on the West? You don't need Western institutions or the West to be friendly, to treat your own citizens well and not invade your neighboring countries.

literally cried over this last night, because it just feels hopeless. the amount of support this decision has makes me so mad, and now no one is safe from prison for literally just posting a rainbow flag lmao. I will never understand the hatred towards our community. the way people will forgive abusers, criminals and rapists, but cross the line at two people who just want to be together, insanity. 

it has never felt safe here, but now it just outright dangerous.

#2 I am sure Russia will change if FfFfFfFF writes on GGD that he ''condemns'' Putin - my reply is esentially the way Russian society will change, THE POWER! It's not like Russia's isolation set the ground for Russia acting upon its own ideals distinct from the West with no fear of losing ties or beneficies.

they are really pushing this whole “traditional values” bullshit to the limit, I fear that next year they will ban abortions or make them extremely difficult to get (they have been taking some steps into that direction already), trans rights haven been completely destroyed at this point, since you can’t even transition here officially anymore. welp!

Because those abusers, criminals, rapists are all heterosexuals, and they need to treat their own kind with tolerance, in order to be forgiven when they too, inevitably, commit the same crimes. Heterosexuals are, in nature, aggressive individuals.. That's why they need to blame homosexuals for their own atrocities. Every accusation is a confession.
