Critics do that too sometimes.

I just mean not in the preview thing like this. This is all pr orchestrated stuff to drum up hype so it isn’t like they’re going to say bad **** bc it could affect access to the film come release when it’ll be a conversation starter plus it’s from a major studio they want a pr relationship with. Reviews are always a bit different but this kinda stuff is jsut fluffy marketing

If critics wanted to tear something down, they would in a heartbeat lol

But they don’t bc they know her reputation rn and that this is going to be a big movie. They could but this was probably pitched by WB to hype the movie

I think a lot of them are still skeptical about the movie tbh. For them, the film is fighting an uphill battle (i.e., Why does the movie need a sequel in the first place? Why cast a pop singer? Why make it a musical? etc., etc.). Personally, I couldn't be more excited for the film, but I think a lot of the comic book fandom is hesitant about it. But I think once we get a more concrete look at the movie, like a teaser trailer or something, people will turn around to it.

I’ve actually seen a different response.

The released pictures of Gaga as Harley have been positive, she had nowhere near the bad reactions of Heath Ledgers initial Joker casting, most responses I saw were quite receptive to her.

The initial announcement was met with a groan, but after the “Folie a Deux” angle, and musical angle people seemed more interested.

It's going to take a preview with some actual footage in order to gauge how the comic movie nerds will support it. I'm not expecting the sequel to match the original because that's an unrealistic goal to have, but I do think it'll pull some numbers. I think she'll kill her role but will get criticism for "doing too much" which won't make sense but will become the popular opinion among fans of the first one.

This is my most anticipated movie in years and to have Gaga a part of it? Even your wildest dreams can come true, b*tch.

This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.
