Trump now most popular among 18-34 y/o

I will say it now and say it again: the democrats are only good at helping the republicans.  Completely weak, spineless and ineffective.  It's horrible that the far-right is taking hold, but how has the democratic party actually REALLY fought this?  Choosing Biden as their frontrunner is already a horrible mistake, à la Hillary Clinton.

I don’t trust this poll. Everyone I know around my age (29) isn’t thrilled with Biden but would NEVER vote for Trump.

Most young people vote for what their parents voted, and many americans are conservative.  I dont know much about politics but I do realize many young people around me seem to be "Christian " and most likely conservative politically. I do remember everything liberal being promoted from 2010-2020, maybe this is a drawback. I also live in a conservative state so that also applies.

Young voters leaving Biden in the dust because of his support for Israel and running to... BB's favorite guy.

Yea that makes total sense. Not trusting this poll at all.

Yeah I don't believe that either. It wouldn't make sense for Israel-Gaza thing to affect this in a way that helps Trump, considering Trump's policies have been much more pro-Israel.

I think either there are other reasons, or the polls are wrong. But I don't see how you get mad at Biden for his handling of Israel-Palestine and you suddenly think the solution is electing Trump who vowed to punish those who support Palestine.

I feel like liberals are pushing it way too much in America, and this might be a reaction to that.

This is what worries me. I think there may be a backlash reaction from the excesses of the left.

I've seen a LOT of very concerning content related to OSB's Letter on TikTok. No matter your opinions on the letter, invoking the name of one of the most hated terrorists in the world and saying "oh yea he was kinda right here" is the opposite of productive. Especially in America.

1) I feel like this poll definitely has to be an outlier 'cause young voters consistently favor Democrats by about 30% in even the most unfortunate elections other than in deeply red states where most voting youth is cis/het white males :laughga:

2) The Post Millennial is a conservative Canadian outlet whose polls ALWAYS heavily skew right from average trends.

3) It's still literally a year from election day. Even if this poll is the most accurate poll ever, it means nothing :air:

Literally disregard this lmao. Democrats just proved a couple weeks ago that voters are on their side. And we should trust election results over biased polls any day.

This poll wasn't even worth sharing honestly :messga:

They're literally not though :rip:

The most "offensive" thing the left does in this country is ask people to respect pronouns and acknowledge racism. That's not extreme :laughga:

Meanwhile, the other side of the aisle has taken away women's guaranteed body autonomy and continues to wage war on the LGBT community and racial minorities.

Young voters (hell, all voters except for the one-foot-in-the-grave crowd, really) see that.

That's why Republicans have consistently had sh*t performance since 2018.

Throw in the dysfunctional congress they're failing to run now and I still have no doubt Democrats will trounce them in 2024 :laughga:

Yeah but I shared two polls though. The other one where also Trump is leading nationally among the same age group, is from NBC.

I hope they're wrong, but I've been seeing many bad polls for Biden. Personally I think he should announce his decision to not run by December.

I mean don't get me wrong I'm still gonna vote for Biden but I cannot disagree with the sentiment of how much he's been a complete disappointment on every front.

Besides...this is an outlier poll. This goes against everything that we have on record about young voters and their voting habits. Polls are growing more and more out of touch with reality because polling methods are outdated.

Young people swing Democratic aggressively.

I promise you there is a 110% chance that young voters are not defecting from Biden to Trump :laughga:

For context... the Washington Post article that reported this ( https://wapo.st/3MQLUzc ) also says: "Recent YouGov polling, conducted for the Economist, shows an example of it: Biden has an 18-point edge with those under 30."

So, pick your poll.
