Can someone explain to me what the heck is happening? Few years ago, he would barely get 20-30% and this used to be considered his weakest age group. But in just 2 years, the opposite has happened. And now this demographic appears to be his strongest group.

What do you think is causing younger generations to switch to the republican side now?

Idk what happened in the last few years but a lot of my once very liberal friends (all females in their early 20s),  have told me they’re voting for whoever is republican or more moderate in 2024.

Young people tend to see elections as "who am I voting against" instead of "who am I voting for". Biden is incredibly unpopular and exemplary of the corruption in the Democratic party in exactly the same way Hilary was

Remember when centrists told us that we had to settle for Biden instead of choosing an actual good candidate because it would bring more republicans to our side? Well… :bear:

It just f.ucking sucks that the few have to suffer because of the decisions of the idiotic many. If these people were the only ones affected by their own actions then who cares, but that's not the case

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

That would require American republicans to be rational :laughga:

Recent polls are going to show him slipping because of Israel. There's a year of work and propaganda to go and polls mean almost nothing anyway.

What’s why I hated people telling me to settle for Biden in order to bring repubs to our side, cause republicans DONT KNOW HOW TO NOT VOTE AGAINST THEIR OWN INTERESTS like guuuuuuurl I’m so sick of this country :franminervini:

I was against him in the primaries, but came around for the general to avoid trump, and despite the negative press he's done a lot better than I thought he would. Although I hate the predicament we're in all since baby girl is 385 years old while his challenger refuses to d**.

As for my feelings towards the country? Big same. I'm praying 2028 feels less high stakes bc I can't keep stressing out about losing the nation to an endless conservative dictatorship every 4 years.

The sad thing is that wasn't even the case in the 2016 election that made Trump president to begin with and probably won't be the case if he becomes president again. He's already lost the popular vote before but still became president.

Overall the polls also had Hillary as a sure win. I hope these polls motivate and scare the younger generation into voting but honestly I'd take it with a grain of salt especially this early.

I cannot comprehend how the US system of election makes sense to anyone. If someone leads the whole country, it affects every single person in that country, therefore every single person should get to vote, and whoever receives the most votes was chosen by the public. It's pretty simple in my mind. No reason anyone has ever given me has made me change my mind. It's just illogical

Logic doesn't make the corruption work. That's all it is at this point. I agree with you and a lot of others do too. But it would take way too much for it to ever change to a pure popular vote.

There’s been a lot of speculation around polls at the moment, best thing to do is just vote! Remember, they predicted Obama only had a 17% chance of re-election a year before 2012.
