It’s pretty ridiculous to deny that Future Nostalgia was one of the greatest pop eras ever and certainly did change pop music

How do you think it changed pop music?

Future Nostalgia and After Hours brought the 80s back to the radio.

We kinda did when they said they had spent 18 months planning the campaign for Chromatica and that it was one of the best rollouts ever, just to be hit with a pandemic and then they were only able to save some cookies and a wine brand deal. Will we ever win? :traumatica:

Cookies and wine deal took me out!

You could say that about any musical trend that appears in pop music every few years.

Well yes, and for every trend there’s always an artist or two who are responsible for it. For example, Gaga and The Black Eyed Peas are credited for bringing Euro Dance music to mainstream in 2008/2009.

No, I’m pretty sure FN is 80s inspired

How Dua Lipa and The Weeknd are bringing the 80s back… again

Yeah they take more from the 80s synthpop acts who used disco numbers in their acts than from the 70s disco era themselves imo. Certain Weeknd tracks like Gasoline feel heavily inspired by the Blitz Kids/New Romantics. And I get Bronski Beat influences on FN.

We love ambition and I'm excited to see what they have planned.

I miss long, thought out eras so much. She really brought it back with FN and I hope she can expand on it and inspire others

G0rl you better be prepared for having either your Born This Way or your ARTPOP. There's a fine line between them.

Houdini was nothing groundbreaking or different and most people were disappointed by it, so they're off to a bad start

They were? I have seen nothing but positive reviews from critics and the song is a hit. Not you having an opinion and attempting to spin your opinion as a mainstream narrative:fail:

Critics aren't public opinion. I have seen nothing but "I expected better" about the song and the video, whether it's on social media or irl friends. Not you taking this way too seriously:fail:
