I disagree , so many men have ED it’s not even funny , and not talking about gays only. Straight gym culture is FULL of ED

She has no idea what she is talking about, men are constantly ridiculed for their looks. The only difference is that we have to laugh it off and pretend it doesn't effect us. Wait, actually we have it worse...

Absolutely false.

Men get judged for things out of their control such as their height and penis size, and society mocks and laughs with those doing it.

Both sexes have societal pressures.

The only thing I will say is for men, even though standards are uncomfortable etc it’s not COMPLETELY tied to a man’s self worth SOLELY because men are seen above women. So in that aspect, women do seem to be treated worse. And they seem to care more.

But to say women are nice etc. is just incorrect.

Huge disagree on that and it always gives me the ick when people like to pretend men don't face problems.

There's a reason suicide rates among men are 4x higher than women. People minimize men's struggles.

My mom who loves to bodyshame women in the entertainment industry when they gain weight has left the chat. That fat cousin (he's a bodybuilder now) in high school that used to get bullied relentlessly also left the chat.:coffee:

King of the Fall

Just because Billie has been scrutinized for her body, she cluelessly assumes that the other gender does not suffer from the same thing in various ways. She clearly does not know a thing about the toxic expectations in the gay community. If only life was as simplistic and black and white as Billie thinks it is, we would have solved issues like this long ago. Also, saying "girls are nice" as a general statement is one of the ****ing dumbest things I have ever heard.

Hey, I'm king of the world, you ought to hear my song, you come on measure me, I'm twenty inches long

And gas light u if u try to talk about the issues like ur trying to downplay womens issues

Not everything has to be a dam f*cking victimhood competition all the time. It does not matter if some other category or group of ppl have it worse than ur group or not. It doesnt invalidate an issue if u as an individual as going thru that issue

Which also brings point #2... ppl are individuals god dam it stop trying to always define ppl by some category or group. If they have a struggle, they have a struggle... and whether or not that struggle is as common in the "group" they belong in as it is in another group is totally irrelevant as far as that individual is concerned. And telling that individual their issue or struggle isnt real because of race, gender, sexual orientation, social status etc is emotionally damaging to anyone

Its fine in the context of bringing awareness of an issue as a generalization and pointing out groups that are especially more likely to face it (for example women face more domestic violence than men). But saying something is outright never an issue to half the worlds population like Billie just did... thats problematic

Women are brutal about men's heights. That I know for sure. I'm tallish (6'2") and every straight guy I know tells me all the time they'd do anything to have my height.

I read this as erectile dysfunction and it totally still fits.

She's generalising a lot and the statement is very heteronormative but she's very right. How many times have you seen a hopeless slob of a manchild dating the most gorgeous, kind, caring woman? Women are often happy to date well below their level but men almost always bat above their own. There are literal studies done on this

The only issue is it sounds like men don't ever get scrutinised for their bodies which I can tell you from personal experience is very wrong. Although tbh... almost all the bullying I received over my body was from other guys, whereas girls were almost always supportive and kind so... I guess that still tracks :bear:

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Meanwhile girls won't date a guy if he's less than 6 feet tall

My cousin literally wrote on a Facebook that she's annoyed by "short guys" who flirt with her "omg lol have they seen themselves lmaooo". Meanwhile she cries when someone comments on her body (which is wrong, lemme be clear).

And her female friends commented by saying she was right, one of them wrote "and not let me talk of the ones who are more large than tall".
