Exactly!
And of course it would be cool to get ARTPOP Act II, but she never said that it was coming on the 10th birthday. Lots of fans have just riled themselves up and made this promise in her place.

Anyone expecting act ii at this point feels so delusional, I’d be gagged and happy and thankful for Brooklyn Nights being available for streaming but not a single cell of my body believes she’s gonna do it

It's kinda weird because at this point are we going to expect her to celebrate the 10 years of every album? She would have to do a 10 year celebration every few years.. and then what? The 20 years? It's actually really weird to expect an artist to celebrate the 10 years of every album.

I get that BTW and ARTPOP are fan favourites and mean a lot to people but because of that she then only celebrates the 10 years of those two albums? And her debut album because that's special too right? But then we can't leave out TFM becaues Bad Romance etc come on. And then everybody will want Chromatica because it never got to be a full era because of covid but then.. the only album not celebrated is Joanne? But then her jazz albums also mean a lot to her so what then? She celebrates all her solo albums and basically shows that she knows the fans don't like her jazz eras. How does this make sense?

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Finally someone who seems mature and reasonnable ! It's refreshing after all this backlash... Social media trully is a terrible place, people love to create drama just for the sake of it and because they feed off of negative energy. It feels like so many fans were just waiting for this moment to tear Gaga down, that's crazy.

Some people called me a feet kisser, but I don't agree with everything Gaga does, for example, I agree that the merch is wayyyy overpriced. But it just feels like some people lost common sense. I know Gaga established a beatiful relationship with her fans in the beginning of her carreer. She was always finding ways to communicate with us but it feels like some people don't understand how negatively these platforms affect so many people and I guess Gaga is one of the people that is affected by the incredibly negative space that social media has become.

Who is particularly bothered though? Like, it’s been 10 years. We should all be grown adults by now :ladyhaha:

In my messy era.

Agreed!!! I understand that the album means so much to many people. If anything, I agree with most the complaints. But there's a difference between disagreeing with something and throwing a tantrum because mommy didn't give them their apple juice this morning. :vegas:

This is honestly just getting ridiculous at this point, it’s like every few months there’s fan backlash against Gaga. It’s ok to be disappointed, sad or wanting more content but what’s NOT ok is harassing her, her team, management or collaborators. Literally barely any artists release 10th anniversary editions with new tracks, they usually reissue with 1 or 2 remixes and do there fans complain ? No. It’s no wonder she barely communicates with us anymore, I wouldn’t either.

There was absolutely no way in hell Gaga was going to relive an album that was likely personally traumatic for her by releasing a second part to it. I'm delusional too but even I'm not that delusional.

I will say this, just playing devil's advocate: fans are allowed to be disappointed in the 10th anniversary celebration or whatever you want to call it. She and her team did give us just enough to believe that Act II could and probably would happen at some point in time.

HOWEVER, the response of these fans has been absolutely insensitive and insane. I think fame and celebrity blinds us to the fact that at the end of the day, they're literally just people like we are. They have their own limits, pains, and traumas like we do. It's not fair of us to demand more than what they are able to give. She's explicitly stated that this work came from a place of deep pain. We can't expect her to then celebrate that pain 10 years later.

If you're going to be disappointed (like I am and have been for years), find other ways to channel that anger instead of trying to burn down the house that's kept us so warm for so long.
