(every picture leaked is STUNNING btw) I'll never forget the feeling I had when the album was announced, and the first photo of her on the microchip chair was released. I was soooo excited. It was the first time I ever truly felt like a stan; all of the lead up to ARTPOP was just...so wild. The era itself was soooo wild. It was thrilling, depressing, challenging. But more than anything, I had so much fun stanning - truly - for the first time. I know this era was so difficult for Gaga; but I hope she knows the fondness we all have for ARTPOP. *also to be clear, I stanned BTW as well, just as hard, but so did the GP at that time, so in some ways it doesn't feel like that should count. Everyone loved her. Then, SSOOOO many ppl jumped ship after or during the ARTPOP era. Many of us saw her vision and intent from day one, from The Fame days even. And I thought ARTPOP was a massive accomplishment and step towards that vision...and people kept stepping on plans or kinking them up. I remember how sad I was when I learned the second single got switched from Venus to DWUW, after she had teased it endlessly. The mettle of the true fans was tested in the ARTPOP era.
