No point in dropping a film about a tour that ended over a year ago. Old news.

But why we gotta put an expiry date on it? Time shouldn't matter, hell look at "Bloody mary" (a 2011 song)

I actually hope it’s shelved. No point in dropping a film about a tour that ended over a year ago. Old news. Unless it’s also a documentary about Gaga and where’s she’s at in her life and the process of creating the Chromatica album, she can keep it. I’m ready to focus on LG7 and Joker 2.

this is such a weird way to think...

mother, what must i do?

Honestly, I agree. It's the same reason why I couldn't care less for ACT II. I'm more interested in projects she has coming up as opposed to stuff she's done in the past. I'd be down for another 5F2 documentary or something like that, but if it's just the show itself, I don't really care.

In retrospect, she did the Nurtec ad probably  because SHE KNOWS that the rest of this year will be a headache for us fans cos nothing is coming. She really did know her crowds  :icant:  :franminervini:

Again why is Gaga restricted by the strikes but not Taylor, Beyoncé, etc? Like Beyoncé is an actress too with some noteworthy roles. And don’t say Shallow, HMH, etc because Gaga just performed Shallow last week lol

It's because of the distribution methods. Taylor and Beyonce organized their movies AFTER the strike started, and they made deals directly with movie theatres cutting the studios and streamers out of the equation entirely.

Gaga has been working on the Chromatica Ball film for a while and very very likely already has a deal in place with a streaming service. It wouldn't be right for her to put it out while she is still on strike against those streamers. There are some arguments about whether it's technically allowed or not under SAG rules, but for appearance's sake and solidarity it's clear she won't do it

But she sang Shallow with U2 when she shouldn't :oprah:

Because it was always intended for streaming, I’m pretty sure it will be dropped on streaming once the strikes are over. It’s just a concert special; now had it been released in theatres that would have been a completely different story. But streaming is 100% fine, and if anything it just solidifies that there’s not really a necessary “release window” that needs to be filled.

This was a live performance, not a streaming release.

Performing a soundtrack song live might be a little bit of a gray area too with SAG sure, but it wasn't professionally filmed for a streaming service. It's nowhere near the same, or as bad as how it would look for her to release a project on Netflix or Apple at this moment

SAG don't even let members to dress up for Halloween, official order and all, do you really think they'll let a casual live performance being performed that indirectly promoting the movie? :oprah:

i don't think it's shelved, i think fans are just being dramatic and bratty

It's definitely not 🗿 I'll believe it's shelved when after the strike is over, nothing was released after a few weeks/months and if TCB was removed from her IG bio lol

but are you arguing that because she may have broken one rule she should just go whole-hog and break another, much more serious rule? I think it's very very clear she wont :poot:

Bit of a stretch to describe it as Shallow. Bono just started singing the word shallow at her over some random melody and then they ended up doing a couple of choruses.
