Unpopular opinion: ARTPOP

- It is indeed overrated among the fans but also the most underrated one among the general public audience.

- Gypsy is THE BEST SONG of the album.

- (I am bringing up Chromatica) It's the big sister album to Chromatica in terms of topic and lyricism. ARTPOP is about dancing with pain while Chromatica is about dancing away the pain.

- The studio version of Swine was underproduced and went in the wrong direction as she should have kept the heavy synth, electric guitar, and stadium-style reverb just like the Swinefest version. Also, the piano and rock intro should've been there too. I'd rather hear 7-minute version of this song than what we got.

- The same goes with MANiCURE it should've gone in the direction of rock production-wise instead of Hip-Hop trap. (Add some reverb and guitar riff and remove the trap beat).

- The title track was also extremely underproduced. More strings and synth would've made the song much better.

- Venus demo is better because of how messy and weird vocally she made.

- The tour version of Partynauseous is a huge mess production-wise but the most recent leaked demo was amazing if it's done with Gaga's verse from Artrave and Kendrick's rap verse from the first leaked demo.

- It's Gaga's best album. Period. Chromatica is not 'ARTPOP fully realized' or a superior version or whatever, it's a less ambitious and more H&M-friendly iteration.

- There is no bad song on ARTPOP.

- Despite the extreme flow of ideas and sounds and whatever, ARTPOP is (to me) her most focused album and it feels like a cohesive record that couldn't logically be tracklisted any other way.

- I'm okay with how the songs ended up. I know it's a common trend to have "demo-itis" when it comes to songs on ARTPOP specifically, but I think most of the changes she made were valid and the final versions are better for an album listening experience.

- I Wanna Be With You does not have the emotional depth, vocally or otherwise, to be track 13 on this album. Dope was a necessary moment of raw vulnerability.

- Fashion! is a highlight and proof of why she needs to do more funk-leaning stuff.

- DWUW solo is the best version of the song (tho it could probably use some more adlibs). I don't get the Xtina version hype, it sounds like one of those YouTube "_ Tour Studio Version" edits and Xtina (at that point retired to a chair on The Voice) singing lyrics about touring with chronic pain was goofy.

All of these takes are so immaculate, I have nothing to add to this thread but my approval!
