Actually Sour Candy followed by Rain on me would literally end fandoms.

Stupid Love -> Rain on Me as pre album singles then Sour Candy MV with BlackPink and futuristic visuals similar to the album art released on the day of the album would have ate. Then 911 then Babylon would be my ideal in a non pandemic world.

Alice (release Stupid Love as a promo single pre-album release since it got leaked). Ideally, I would’ve loved:

1. Alice (2020 February)

PS: Stupid Love (2020 April)

2. Rain On Me (2020 May)

3. Free Woman (2020 September)

4. Sour Candy (2021 January)

PS: 911 (2021 March on Gaga’s bday)

5. Replay (2021 April)

6. Babylon (2021 June)

Babylon

I was gonna say this, but it works so well as a closing track. If it's a lead single, it would need to be a different album. Does that make sense? :S

Stupid Love was a bop and a half and the right lead single if we're being honest, I just wish it had a better music video.

Shot on iphone. Yeah we can tell babe. :air:

Stupid Love has been a perfect choice.

Babylon would’ve been epic to close out the era. Like a journey complete.

I think the gp would’ve loved SFA

Not even the monsters generally like SFA :triggered:

Honestly the lead should have been Replay. It's one of the strongest songs lyrically and the beat is gp friendly. Stupid Love is 100% a grower but the weird beat can throw people off. Starting the era by talking about being traumatized and stuck is a great message for what the album will be about. It also sounds more natural to talk about than a song called "Stupid Love" and would have spread further imo. She also should have saved ROM for release week to capitalize on Arianator interest as the entire album would have been available to them. Sour Candy should have been the second single because the Blinks would have supported it longer as well, and had it gotten a MV I think it would have done better as well. I feel like 911 is fan service and it did well for what it was intended for, but it kind of dilutes the "big pop comeback" she was messaging for the era. I enjoyed the MV for it but it was a bit "lowbrow" and the budget should have gone to Sour Candy.

Stupid Love felt like a return to form, like a more colorful version of the pop sound from the BTW era. Loved it as a lead single and I still stand by it being one of the best songs on the album. I’ve had it on repeat more than most of chromatica

Am I the only one who doesn’t like Alice much compared the rest of the album? Alice was a nice intro track especially lyrically with the concept, but it felt a little basic and repetitive and I wasn’t a huge fan of the instrumental. Stupid Love was a much better choice imo. Replay, Rain on Me, Sour Candy and Babylon are the other strongest tracks in the album imo.

Agreed Alice is not it lol

i feel the same way about Venus. Never understood the hype for that one either
