robboadam 2,241
Just to remind people, certain films have interim agreements because they’re from studios that have made interim agreements with SAG-AFTRA - ie. smaller, more independent studios who have basically said ‘whatever SAG-AFTRA want, we’ll give you’. It’s clear that Gaga's doc is being released by a bigger studio or streaming service who definitely do not have an interim agreement with SAG-AFTRA. I’m still confused tho, why is it taking this long? What is a sag aftra ? how do we know this info about it? https://open.spotify.com/track/7q1GGm2mBlC9hPWige0C6e?si=6b5319d0e3b44fa6

SAG-AFTRA strike started on July 14th 2023. The Chromatica Ball ended on September 17th 2022. The show was filmed on Septmebr 10th 2022. So my question is: What took them so long( ELEVEN,yes, ELEVEN months) to release just a single 2 hour long film? It’s not like they’d use bts footage, like Beyoncé. That’s the problem. Not the SAG-AFTRA strike. Just proves how slow her teams works.

SAG-AFTRA has confirmed that TS is a member. BUT: TS did a direct deal with the AMC movie theater company, skipping the studios entirely. Studios are fuming that she is so strong commercially, that she was able to bypass them. Of course SAG-AFTRA likes this, so they approved the movie release, and praise TS left and right.
