StrawberryBlond 14,919
Yas, Paloma! This is her best lead single in years. I really wasn't keen on her last 2 albums and felt her sound had got really bland but she's recaptured what made me love her with this. Her voice is impeccable, the lyrics are moving, I love the little guitar break and the video is great, she even looks a bit like Gaga in it. It reminds me a little bit of Nothing Breaks Like A Heart, there might have been some inspiration there. I hope radio will support this, it's made for driving to and is a clear attempt at a hit. Radio 2 is normally pretty suportive of Paloma tbf. I think album wise just based on lead single choice she has the potential for a better debut sales from this album than Infinite Things did
MaybeKermit 4,989
I’d Love for Gaga to serve us this vibe (Perfect Illusion 2.0) once again

Her streaming is horrendous, but you're right that this is a better lead than Better Than This and will hopefully pay off (although 4 months until the album is a lonnng rollout for Paloma, so hopefully there's a killer second single ready to go in the new year). Based on the descriptions, this already sounds like a much more authentically 'Paloma' record than the slight non-event of Infinite Things.

Personally I think it was far better than The Architect. But definitely agree that How to leave a man is far more quintessensially Paloma than we've had in a while. Having been too every tour since Fall to Grace came out I'm not surprised her streaming numbers are **** lol her main fan base are middle aged women (which is a recurring theme in my music taste these days lol)
