Unlike many of her pop counterparts including Beyonce and Taylor Swift, Madonna puts her money where her mouth is when it comes to the planet.

Despite being worth a reported £700 million and one of the most famous stars on the globe, eco-warrior Madonna opted to swerve her gas-guzzling private jet in favour of commercial flight to the UK ahead of her Celebration Tour.

The delayed 78-date global trek kicks off in London next weekend with the first of six sold out show’s at London’s O2 Arena.

The singer stunned travellers as she boarded a standard red eye British Airways flight from New York to the capital along with her son David Banda.

Though proving she is still a Material Girl at heart, Madge settled down in First Class.

A source said: “She may forever be the Material Girl but for her journey to the UK Madonna tried to be as low key as possible.

“Passengers on the British Airways overnight flight were stunned as she and her son David took to their seats in First Class but no one bothered her.“

i mean flying first class is super glamorous. There is no need at all for a private jet unless you are transporting many people and cant get enough seats lol
