Is Taylor At Risk of Overexposure?

The momentum Taylor built with Folklore, Evermore, Midnights, and her rereleases brought her to heights not seen before with The Eras Tour. It’s given her a level of appreciation from even the harshest of critics. 

Letting the music & performances speak for themselves would allow her a victory lap like none other. With a theatrical release of The Eras Tour, dates well into 2024, and 3 more rereleases left to go, Taylor is more than set to climb exponentially higher than the bar she flew past. 

It’s a test not to hear a Taylor Swift song in public, or to not hear about her in conversation. She’s everywhere. Taylor talk is water cooler talk. A record setting concert tour, stimulating the economy, first tour past a billion. The conversation is of impress and admiration. 

But as of recently, Taylor talk has started to weave into other water cooler chats. The messy Joe Jonas/ Sophie Turner divorce, being very public about her relationship with NFL’er Travis Kelce. 

Taylor’s experienced overexposure before, and it was time that that obviously impacted her. 

Is inserting herself in to many narratives  a tread in old waters? Does she have a master plan like the savvy PR person she is? “Any press is good press” is a myth she herself has busted before, is she doomed to repeat past mistakes?

Everything she does is on purpose, if she doesn't want to be seen, she won't be seen. Meanwhile, blondie is running around having dinner with famous friends all over the West Village.

Trust me, there's a plan, these artists have a huge team advising them, and don't forget she has an album and single to sell in 3 weeks so all this publicity is more than welcome.

I think she's exposed just as much as Ed, Adele or Gaga, but the public's fatigue from her music will come one day but it can be in a month or in 20 years, but it will come, it's not because her music will be bad, it's just natural thing in entertainment from music, movies and even tv series, for example Gaga had a decline in her success mid btw era or Katy had #1 after #1, she was at the top of the world, but then mid Prism era things started to crumble down and her career is not the same anymore.. or like with marvel movies, endgame did 2+ billions but now they are scratching the 900 million and there is a strong fatigue of superheroes movies.. it's just how things works.. at some point the public is just moving on to something else.

Tbh, I feel like she’s immune 

Her overexposed era was the tail end of the 1989 era. It’s part of the reason Reputation came to be, and why it had only a fraction of the television promo 1989 had. But she pulled her self out, ever so successfully.

I feel like since her original overexposed era, she’s built such strong good will amongst both her fans, and the GP alike. Hence taking her to new heights.

I think after the re-recordings and the Eras tour, I can see a 3 year break for her. If she doesn’t take a break after everything expected then yea she might be overexposed but since her fan base is so loyal I can’t see her having a massive flop, at least not in the next 10 years I reckon.

I don’t think she can be over exposed. It’s like she just keeps pulling more and more people in. I went to my local target yesterday and they wiped out their entire vinyl section and now it’s literally just Taylor swift vinyl. It’s inane. This girl could be the president of

The overexposure will happen after all her re-releases are done and all that's left is to put out new projects. Her popularity will dip and publications may write about it, but she'll still sell more than most because of the market she panders to. Never underestimate the buying power of emotional, upper middle class white tween girls and the twinks who act like them.

Nah, far from that, here she doesn’t even exist, if it wasn’t for GGD I wouldn’t know who she is. She’s 100% about the music, she doesn’t get out of that so, there’s no risk of overexposure.
