The ignorance of your comments just show that you're, maybe, slightly xenophobic.

You can’t be xenophobic towards colonisers though.

I think this youtuber is too generous with the US, had to be #1

I don't understand how they got to this conclusion depending on the sources, Switzerland #1 is a bit laughable, there is racism but not higher than US, Italy and France combined.

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

What country did Argentina colonize according to you ? Because most of the Spanish colonizers left around the 1810s with most of the people left being mixed. The perceived European influence comes form later immigration during the 20th century, if that's what you're referring to .

Also, yes you can be xenophobic towards anything perceieved as foreign.

I mean, there was the whole indigenous massacre that happened in the 1900s and even today the few indigenous people that remain have been speaking out about their treatment within their own country. Every colonized country in Latin America has grappled with unfair treatment of indigenous people. But have you ever wondered why they are much more invisible in Argentina than in countries like Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, or Peru? It’s because Argentina has been systematically driving them and their culture to extinction at a faster rate.

His sources are in the videos description, and I have definitely heard of the racism within Brazil over the years now actually… 🤷🏾‍♂️

Brazil is racist for sure. It was the last country to abolish slavery. But theres just no way argentina is less racist

Did they really leave or did they just wipe out the indigenous population and take over their country? I find it so funny when white Latinos complain about racism like aren’t your ancestors literally the same people who invented all of this? (I’m not talking about you so please don’t take offence)

Lebanon not being in the top 10 when we literally have what's pretty much a slavery system for migrant workers is... wild.

Soft, soothing, and succulent

I'd put China, Congo, Egypt, Mauritania, Ethiopia, South Africa and India on this list. I've spent time living and traveling in some of these and was shocked, especially from friends in subsaharan Africa (the bantu vs pygmy situation is horrific). The weirdest part was when I remember hearing my Chinese colleagues talking about white women and how "easy" and "dumb" they were. I was like "wow, seems like we're all jerks".

I think Western nations take the biggest hit because awareness is so high because racism was so prevalent, but then the socially/intellectually liberal culture allowed more awareness on human rights to criticize and evolve from that.

Argentina paid someone to be removed from this list. :billie:

As someone with Argentinian in their background you are absolutely right. My family are from the north which is significantly less European influenced than the Buenos Aires area. They have faced a lot of racism unfortunately.

Italy should be higher, we're literally in a fascist government right now

Yeah, Italy is treating the Romani in (almost) the exact same way China is treating the Ughyurs.

I mean I guess it depends on the context? If you’re Guarani it’s not really xenophobic of you to dislike the Eurocentric Argentinian culture. But if you’re some random person from China it’s still xenophobic to hate Argentinians for said culture.

Is this list just focusing on anti-black racism?

There are active genocides of other races yet the perpetrating countries are not in the top 10
