Not to mention the infamous gay man-pregnancy-alien storyline of s10 :ladyhaha:

I wish they would've just gone with the first part and not done the alien story. Red Tide was great and they had to ruin it with...... that

This. Red Tide should’ve been its own season or they should’ve at least split the season exactly in half instead of 6 and 4. The second part actually didn’t start that bad IMO, the historical functions were interesting and I was here for a full fledged alien plot after Asylum dipped into it. But then they tried to make it camp and edgy and it just got baaaaaaad. Those 4 episodes are the worst in AHS’ history

To be honest it was the concept of the season being inspired by 1930s B rated horror movies (with creatures) being aired as Double Features in theater

Not my favorite but it was actually totally in the theme tbh.

What I totally love with AHS is the fact they will never take the easy road (well except Apocalypse that was full of fan service). You will always find easily people that hate the seasons that you love and love the seasons that you hate.

One safe bet is that the next season will always be going totally elsewhere and that's the best of it.

Tbh none really got bad reviews (apart Double Feature Part 2,)

The one with lowest review score is Hotel. The highest are 1984, Asylum, Coven.

I'm so mad they cut Red Tide short just to tack on the ****-show of Death Valley :motherofpuppies: I believe that if Red Tide was the whole season and they had more episodes to play with the theme and characters it would've been the best season in years. It started out so strong and the ending was so **** :smh:

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Agree, the only interesting feature was the black and white storyline shot like a 50s low budget sci-fi movie, which makes the season slightly above NYC

Hotel is so underrated, media back then were so bias against Gaga after ARTPOP, it's crazy to me how Hotel got the worst reviews.

I don't think it was bias, objectively Hotel starts off with a really great couple of episodes (both technically and narratively) but ****s itself up with too many unfinished subplots, unbelievable characters and weak leads (both Gaga, who was so inexperienced as an actress back then*, and Wes Bentley). Liz Taylor was the best character but was kind of wasted for half of the season, and the links to Coven and Murder House felt forced.

*she gets way better in the last episodes though

Totally! Red Tide premiere was one of the best episodes of the entire series. But even that got a little cringe. I don't understand what happens. It's like RM is in the writers room for the first 3 episodes of every season, and then he leaves and says "Have fun, go crazy!" And the writers literally just throw in whatever they can hoping it sticks and makes sense...

That's big honestly, I think the show will also take profit of the fact this year's September is not crowded
