okay, I have many problems with Ariana; the blackfishing, that recent clip of her lying that she single-handedly wrote a song that she didn't, the homewrecker tendencies, diva accusations that span years, Scooter Braun association that didn't let up until whatever's going on now, turning the internet against Victoria Justice, etc. etc.

but ALL OF THAT aside, claiming that she's responsible for the overdose death of her ex-boyfriend is actually kinda insane and cruel and insensitive

There's a longstanding trend on twitter, primarily from incels & other forms of women haters to attack Ariana Grande over Mac Miller's overdose. 

The theme of all that hatred they direct is that she is responsible for his overdose simply because she left him. Despite her having said in an interview that the relationship with Mac as "toxic" and "scary". They explicitly say it is her fault he overdosed and latch onto her tribute post to Mac where she says "i'm so sorry i couldn't fix you or take your pain away" to "prove" their narrative that she's the reason he abused drugs. They always absolve Mac of any guilt for the failing of the relationship through his drug use & choose to blame Ariana. 

It's inherently misogynistic to absolve any man of responsibility for their actions to blame a woman and make a monster out of her for daring to leave a man.
