Gaga can’t legally release Act II

I’m surprised people really want to hear ACTII this badly. I feel like I’m the only one who’s not too bothered about it

I would rather just have a brand new album and era

If the two options were ACT II or LG7 this fall, I think most people would choose LG7. But the truth is our options are closer to ACT II this fall and LG7 in a year, or nothing this fall and LG7 in a year

I mean, it would definitely be cool to hear ACT II but I also worry about how it would make Gaga feel brining up something that was quite a hard time for her. Hopefully LG7 won't be too far away

I mean, yes and no. Legally everything she records when under contact belongs to Interscope. So she would need permission to release any “vault” stuff, from any time period.

But if Interscope wanted to they could release it tomorrow. And I’m sure if Gaga really actually wanted to do something, she’d make it happen.

actually not just interscope, troy carter also still owns rights from anything linked to ARTPOP, even using names from outtakes from ARTPOP ACT II must have his agreement

This + I'm sure Interscope is aware of the demand for ACT II, they can't not be aware.

If we do end up getting anything I don't think it's what anyone is necessarily expecting. I would not expect a full fledged album, maybe a short EP (3-5 songs at most, probably new remixes) to commemorate it though.

Yeah I wonder if other labels are looking at the success taylor is having with minor vault tracks on her re-releases. I could see Interscope doing some kind of ARTPOP release like that in some fashion or another

It's not Interscope, but Troy, he's the reason anything "vault" pre-Bobby is not seeing the light.

This is the reason why the BTW 10th Anniversary was made by covers and not the vault material, she recorded a lot of songs for BTW.

I doubt Troy has anything to say, and even if he did, I doubt he would refuse anything

He was her manager, not someone important at Interscope, how would he even be part of the situation?

Wasn’t it in the leaked documents that she’s not allowed to release materials not meant for a CURRENT project, if i remember correctly

No, Interscope isn't allowed to release any old material without Gaga's permission.

I don’t think she’ll release it. She stated many times before that ARTPOP was a hard period of time for her. Why would she even want to.

Doing it for the gays of course.

It's probably for the same reason people want Chromatica related content. The era isn't what it was supposed to be. There were a lot of plans there were scrapped. It's the 2 eras this has happened with at this point.

i dont believe in release of act ii but gaga still very much celebrates ARTPOP and loves it so the argument that it was a hard time which yes it was but she still enjoyed ARTPOP very much and wanted to share it with the world, she never kept anything to herself other than the planned act ii

she planned to release more songs through the ARTPOP app, and the ARTPOP performances express her pain through art to to the world

she still to this day celebrates ARTPOP

Gaga’s never been known for releasing deluxe albums with unreleased or brand new songs. Hell, we even beg her team to release a target exclusive song on streaming platforms. Best case scenario is releasing new ARTPOP 10th anniversary merch. LG7, on the other hand, won’t come anytime soon honestly. No one starts an era right before the end of the year. Major artists starts their eras in February-May (like Chromatica), so they can tour during summer. Gaga’s gonna be booked this time next year for Joker 2, if those strikes don’t affect the release schedule. The only option for LG7 being released next year, is if the movie release is moved to a later date.

Agreed with that! After the mixed reception of ARTPOP, Joanne and Chromatica, she should focus on releasing an incredible pop album and remind the world of what she can do :firega:

The label could package an ARTPOP double LP with ARTPOP II and Gaga still wouldn't acknowledge it, let's be real. Unless it's jazz, blush, or Joker II for the next year I don't think she'll care...
