We really need to as a culture stop normalizing this. Celebrities should not require a police escort to simply leave a restaurant or a private event. I get you love them and are huge fans, but they are at the end of the day people still trying to live life. It has to be mentally taxing to literally never have the option to go out in public without this. Not only that, but this can often does lead to dangerous situations not just for the celebrity but for the crowds gathered as well. 

It's been a facet of celebrity culture for a long time, sure it looks impressive. But it really, truly needs to stop. It's really not cute to essentially be stalking these people to get a photo of them as they walk out of a building.
