Applause/ARTPOP came out at the perfect time for me; I just started art school and learning a lot about art history movements freshman year 😩 biggest regret was not going to ArtRave.

Such an amazing time, remembering what felt like forever for new music and all that went on, the Skype ball etc, looking forward to the iTunes fest, ARTPOP flaws and all will always mean a lot to me

10 years ago I was a closeted, sad and lonely 13 year old who was terrified of the future. Then ARTPOP came along and shown me it’s okay to be different and to express yourself in creative ways! Dope is one of my favourite songs of all time and ARTPOP genuinely changed my life. 
 

I still remember pre-ordering the CD package with the Applause poster and T-Shirt in

I was 27 and my gf and I had started dating a couple months prior. I had told her I was a big Gaga fan, but when this single came out and my best friend and I went absolutely insane over it, I think my gf realized just how much of a fan I am. Im glad it didnt scare her off lmao.

And then when the album came out, my best friend and I started this tradition which we also did for Joanne and Chromatica (such a fond memory, she passed in 2020):

Not to be a Debbie Downer but I really hate these memes and posts that go like "it's been ten years since...how old do you feel?" and "get ready to feel old... X turns 20 today".

We all have a calendar - let's just keep these timeline stocktakes to reflect on how far we have come rather than make it all about how old we feel etc
