Of course things are more expensive nowadays but also global population increased like crazy just like people who like pop music in general too. The thing here is the demand, not even Coldplay got to have so much demand globally as she’s doing right now. It’s insane.

Taylucifer 5,139
she is dominating, has been dominating since folklore in 2020 and will likely continue into 2025 at the very least, it is almost comical The Tortured Poets Department is out NOW
rinasawachanta 3,074
It is surprising. How she manages to fill stadiums while being so bland, irrelevant and potentially forgettable. A phenomenon to study

Gurl, it is not an insult, it is a word that integrates the vast universe of language and symbolism and, as such, does not "go out of style" lol. 4th Time Around 4,502
The Beatles and Elvis Presley's breakout in the 50s are really the only things that compare to Taylor Swifts level of dominance right now. Michael Jacksons Thriller Era was equal from a commercial standpoint with the arrival of the music video but he never inspired such die hard devotion, the rabid nature of the Swift fandom can only be compared to Elvis and the Beatles. It does not matter if you are a Taylor Swift fan or not but the scale of her achievements can't be denied, especially in a time when we thought that the days of a single force of domination in the music industry had come to an end. Hey, I'm king of the world, you ought to hear my song, you come on measure me, I'm twenty inches long

THAT was a huge era just like Taylor's current one. Yes. Every generation has one of these. Madonna, Britney, Beyonce, Gaga, and now Taylor. Gaga was absolutely dominating the world in 2010/2011 to the point you couldn't walk by a newspaper stand, turn on the radio, or turn on TV without seeing her or hearing her. Now it's Taylor's turn. In this case I'd liken taylor a little more to Michael Jackson or Madonna. Do YOU own the 4' by 6' Perfect Illusion promo Poster? Will pay you for it. Also, over the past 3 months I have read the whole Gaylor conspiracy and I'm convinced hook line and sinker that she is 100% bi at the very minimum. There's more to her than blandness. I never thought I'd say that but I mean it. She's a grower, not a shower, her music grows on you. My current favorite is the slow burn jazz song about cunninglingus from the Lover album. I think the only difference with Madonna's LAP era & Taylor's Eras era is the level of fandom intensity. The Swifties are looking as rabid as Beatlemania was. Have you never seen what a gay man would do for Madonna?
JoanneMonster 9,028
I mean, sure shes having a huge era and everything, but I dont know if its because I’m not from the US, but she doesnt seem as big here? like sure she sold out a stadium here for next year but thats about it? I feel like 1989 era had a much bigger impact here than this era, even if she’s selling more now or filling stadiums. I feel like her audience is very US centered, she hasnt had a big impact, at least in mh country. If you asked an old person about Madonna, Beyonce, or Gaga, they would probably know them, not taylor. good for her tho I See You
Tinnitus15 51,571
She’s untouchable at this point. She showed that female pop starts can dominate again if you have the passion. If before Adele was considered to be the selling act, right now Taylor is coming for that spot too. I’m surprised how little promo she needs. We had just one post about The Eras tour dates and they all sold out within minutes. There was an article, which mentioned that Taylor spends the least for tour promos. All she needs to do is post about the tour and that’s it. Same for music. Cruel Summer competing for #1 without a remix, or even a music video. dimitristhe 1,556
For female artists, this is the biggest era since 1986-1990 Madonna. In general is the biggest era since MJ’s Dangerous era. His last hugely successful era. I know History tour was a smash, but Dangerous sold more and he was the moment back then. When we're not together tell me everything's gonna be alright

Cruel Summer competing for #1 without a remix, or even a music video. If you think about it she actually needs a TON of promo but it’s creative promo that is hyper targeted to her fans. That’s the key. No one gets by with zero promo at all, the best tailor it to the audience they’re appealing to. Taylor knows her fans well and so she creates marketing like Easter eggs and the like to constantly engage them. It’s a looooot of promo but untraditional promo and as we can see, when you know your audience, it works.
