G U C C I 5,386 Posted August 10, 2023 Share Posted August 10, 2023 I understand the knee jerk reaction to say f*ck him, but unless you have actually lived through having huge amounts of immigrants from anywhere come into your neighborhood and basically making it unlivable for the people who were there and built there lives there then you don’t understand. Could he have been more well spoken and shown empathy for their situation? YES! But on a certain level his frustration is warranted. It is a horrible situation for the citizens and the immigrants both! They are left with little resources and in a horrible situation they have to navigate without real help. The citizens who initially welcome them then feel betrayed because that help never comes and the buck is passed and passed until it they finally leave their community. He has had some other shitty takes before as well and some of his comments regarding Fox News are crazy, but this is one moment where a portion of what he is saying is true. It’s just ironic that he’s complaining about hookers and immigrants since his daughter, who’s the reason he’s a business owner and popular enough to make headlines, is very open and proud of her immigrant family past and, well, very sexually liberal as well.
