Do we think Gaga will extend her contract with MGM or will she finish it out?

I understand what you're saying, and I do believe that if it's done right it could work, but it would have to be very carefully executed because for most people, going from Judas to Orange Colored Sky in the same show is very jarring.

well tbf she did sing Bang Bang right after the Judas act at the artRave ball :laughga: I'd love for her to do an interpolation of jazz songs in a pop show. Plus she could sing some of her hits in jazz like Applause, Bad Romance (which could go into the studio version towards the end) etc.. she's been singing the same studio versions of these songs since forever so it would be fresh to finally hear a different version of them

Exactly. She already has the arrangement for Applause ready:

And Bad Romance also has great jazz versions:

And honestly I think Gaga could pull it off to fuse some modern twists into it.

I definitely think she will continue and sign a new contract. MGM treated her really well the first go around and it seems like shes had a blast tapping into the vintage Vegas attitude.

The videos of her running around casinos, gambling, partying, swimming in the Mansion at MGM, performing with her friends makes it seem like a perfect gig for her.

She proved to be a must-see the first go around so there’s no way MGM wouldn’t treat her like a golden goose with a new contract. It also seemed (sans Covid) relatively easy for her to dip in & out without rigorous & strict stipulations to how often she has to perform.

True, she did a whole world tour :ladyhaha:

Was it not reported somewhere that she was developing a new pop show for Vegas?  Was that debunked and I’m a clown for still waiting for more news about this?

I don't wanna sound like a creep, but she might have a break after Vegas and before Joker promo to try and start a family? If she wants this ofcourse.

She'll be back in Vegas but I think it'll be a while. Would love to see her on Broadway first.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

I hope so if she wants to! If she does decide to move venues, I hope it’s to the sphere in Vegas. I want to see a show there so bad, but I’m not a U2 fan, so a new Gaga residency would be perfect. I would assume a pop show would fit the venue better, but it’d be cool to see how a jazz show would take place in there.

This! That’s usually off limits when you are signed to a Vegas residency, and if I’m not mistaken, in her original contract it was written in that she couldn’t perform within a certain radius of Vegas (including California) so they must have renegotiated that part for the Chromatica Ball. MGM loves her, I think it’s a great partnership.

Her version of the Eras Tour would be incredible. Each album is so distinctly its own world, it would make sense. She'd dedicate a portion of the set to her jazz covers.

Kinddaaaa sad Taylor did it first

I wish she would tour rest of the world with her jazz shows, they could be mini-residences :bradley:

Unless she has plans to drop new music in Q1/Q2 in 2024, I wouldn’t be mad if she kept performing there until Joker press tour. I mean we would be getting daily news of her otherwise she would just disappear until Joker era begins

This would be amazing. 5-10 shows per city in ~2,500 capacity theatres throughout the world
