She has to be doing a social experiment or something

I’m a fan of Doja and I don’t feel an ounce offended. I’m actually enjoying this, girl is doing what many other pop stars would have wanted to do and say but didn’t out of fear for their career. Doja seems to not care and I’m digging that.

IMO those fans that claim that Doja owes them her career are like less than 1% of her total listeners and fans. She’s successful not because of those Twitter stans, she’s successful because she’s taleneted, a great performer and a hit maker. At this point she’s a household name and I don’t think majority of her fans or listeners know or care about her online exchanges.

I do think it’s just a phase for her though and she’s acting out because she has this pent-up anger against this toxic stan behaviour. Let her explore it, often balance comes after swinging to both extremes.

If this helps snap some fans out of their embarrassing parasocial celebrity worship then miss Doja did some good afterall

Just A Holy Fool

I can't really take anything she says seriously... didn't she say she was quitting music more than once? At this rate she won't have to quit music, it will quit her. She needs to just not engage with these lunatics.

Economy

Well she can say she loves her fans generically in the sense of the support they give her.

When stars say they love their fans I don't think they literally mean people individually as people... Cuz like yeah, they don't know u or know u exist

on the one hand, she's got a point

on the other, she's terminally online so must have some understanding of stan culture.

she's just plain rude and i see her career tanking worse than azealia's.

Well she proved her point right away...  that "fan" was anything but love worthy

Hope she's saved her money because she's definitely over.

Gaga and Britney would NEVER.

We have a stan, everybody. :huntyga:

She is not at all a household name :rip: And she has hits thanks to her FANS. Also she is easily replacable. She's not the talent that someone like Gaga is, who would btw never treat her fans like this.

Its like you own a bakery who makes the best cupcakes in town but you offer the worst customer service. Yah, your gonna lose them and Doja will lose her fans.

If fans were responsible for making songs hits, why aren’t most Gaga songs hits?:trollga:

As someone who wasn’t a fan of her music since Hot Pink but really loved Attention, it’s all very humorous to me. I get what she’s trying to say but it’s going to backfire, and if she doesn’t care, then I don’t care either as long as the album kicks ass lol. There’s certainly better ways of abandoning your old sound/look/whatever for not liking it/feeling it was not authentic to yourself. I appreciate the honesty to herself and evolving creatively, but some things should really be left unsaid when it involves fans…

I have this same general feeling as someone who hasn’t been a fan before, but I might become one if Attention has any resemblance to how the rest of the album will sound ha
