Release dates for Dune 2, The Color Purple, and Aquaman 2 could be up in the air due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.

IF Warner Bros. delays their entire slate, there is a possibility that Joker: Folie à Deux might also be delayed.

I don’t think this’ll really affect Joker 2. It was always scheduled for a late 2024 release date, and the strikes will not be going on for that long. Joker 2 is also not within the DCU continuity, it’s a separate thing entirely. It’s not like the MCU where if they delay one project, they have to delay the entire slate.

I hope so, but they will also consider the start of the marketing campaigns for each film. Aside from Joker 2, they also have Godzilla x Kong, Furiosa, and Beetlejuice 2 slated for 2024. If they delay Dune 2, Color Purple, and Aquaman 2 for 2024, that would be too packed for WB.

Let's all hope the studios start paying their dues and end the strikes.

The Color Purple is the only one I really care about tbh but I can manage by just rereading the book 

I'm fortunate enough to have a library across the street from me so I can entertain myself with books for as long as this strike takes

Going the rest of the year without movies would only hurt them imo. WB has already been losing a ton of money for a while now (long before the strike), and they, along with every other studio, is probably losing hundreds of thousands of dollars a week because of the strike. Frankly, they can't afford to just not release something this year, even if it means limited to no promo for those movies. Plus, delaying movies in and of itself is an expensive thing to do. 

I think—or rather hope—that the strike will end relatively soon. Hollywood cannot afford to just stop all production for that long.
