Karl 3,575
I mean you go to LA thinking it's all palm trees and film stars and then it's skid row so it works both ways Central Paris is beautiful imo, the cafe culture is amazing, the long streets with beautiful old buildings. If you go to monmatre or something then yeah it's not as nice but it's the way he's done the video I find a bit dumb.

I'd consider going in via train from a neighboring country but I'll pass on a flight into it. Oh ok, I misunderstood then. I don’t know what’s so horrible about CDG compared to, like, JFK. From my experience. But fair enough.

I figure I was expecting something magical. Instead, besides the phenom first sight of the Eiffel Tower, I found myself in a big grey morose city, where I was expecting to find joy and vibrant colours. Even a beauty contest queen might have bad breath, smelly feet and an ugly mug in the morning, I reckon ! Well Paris can actually be very vibrant and alive, a lot of stuff are happening there and it gets very fun during nighttime but I guess it depends on what age you were when you went there and what you are mostly interested in when visiting the city. I still don’t like this city but for some other reasons than the rats and the smell (way too expensive, impossible to find housing, people everywhere all the time…), I’m happier in the south

calmar 22,768
I was in Paris in September, and sure, there were rats and homeless people and long lines and stuff, but I mean. It's a city, I knew that. But I have friends there and speak solid enough French and while I only had a weekend, I had a great time.

I was there on a layover and had to go through security immediately after walking through narrow hallways across the building. Then got on a people mover to get to another terminal where you had to basically find hidden stairs and corners. The signage was wrong and someone directed me the other way after which I finally had to go through immigration and border patrol, then security again (with their machines malfunctioning repeatedly) to finally get to get to my gate. Juanjo 2,284
I think what that attention-seeking fool is doing is extremely disrespectful and quite gross actually. Anybody could come to the US and photograph the worst parts of a tourist destination. Even though I’ve never been to Paris, I know it’s a city that is magical, because of its history, romanticism and all of the imperfections that make it so unique and wonderful. What was he expecting, Disneyland? Such an ignorant take.

Ziggy 14,013
Im sorry but this man fundamentally doesn’t understand Parisian culture lmao like in Paris **** is chic bc of its vibe not bc it flashes you with a neon sign lol like Paris is understated chic, only americans dress over the top there and they stick out (which is why no one talks to them lmao). This dude sucks I’d hate to vacation with him lmao i just went to Paris and my only complaint was that there were no ramps so if you’re disabled your SOL. And the cigarette smoke but that’s a personal thing so I don’t hold it to them. Imagine seeing graffiti and calling a place ghetto. It’s a city, dude lol if you want a polished suburb or mid sized sanitized city go to Kansas City or some ****. He didn’t even try to give the city a chance and what a shame. Luckily? Paris is routinely unbothered by bawdy Americans being rude. the cafe part bothered me most. Like that’s very culturally part of Paris. You sit and enjoy company, relax and chill. Not everything is about blowing out your retina receptors and having a photo wall to send to your mom. People live there lmao if anything, Paris, to me, had a more vibrant social world than most of the US. Like casual social. The US socially it’s usually a to-do to some degree. In Paris it feels more effortless.
