Just a few reasons:
- most of them have a personality that is more open to new impulses
- they are likely to meet new beautiful and/or spiritually inspiring people
- because of their work, they travel a lot and often live apart from each other for longer periods
- it is more socially accepted that they often change their partners or get divorced several times
- both parties have enough money for good lawyers and a prenup, they don't have problems like dividing the single flat or joint loans

Of course I hope there was no abuse or infidelity behind the scenes, and I’m rooting for them to come out of this happy and healthy. My comment was more directed to the other comments about how it’s “no surprise”. Of course divorce is no surprise in a culture that thinks of divorce in the terms as any other break up.
